Sinus and toothache
It is not only the wisdom tooth or the gum diseases that causes toothache. There are some other reasons as well and one among them is sinus problems. There are lots of people who actually argue with this fact and say that it is the toothache that cause sinus rather than sinus problems causing tooth ache. Anyways, we will have a look at some of the key facts relating to sinus and toothache.
1. The fact of the matter is that sinus infections do cause toothache problems. A person with a sinus infection would cause the gland closer to the sinus get swollen up and that as a result might affect or hurt the upper teeth of a person. This is because the sinus cavities are very close to one’s upper teeth and slight variations in the size of the sinus can have an impact on the upper teeth.
2. Whenever there is an infection in the sinus region, then the cavity starts filling up with mucus and that actually increases the size of the gland resulting in exerting some pressure on the teeth.
3. One cannot find out whether the pain in the teeth is due to sinus just through what the patient says. One actually will have to go through some tests and if possible take an x-ray or scan to find out whether the pain us due to sinus or something else.
4. Whenever there is pain in the tooth, it is better that one gets an appointment with the dentist to find out the real problem because treating the problem at home without actually knowing the actual cause could prove dangerous.
